I have a B.A. in journalism with an emphasis on mass media and a minor in visual communication and design, plus eight years of professional experience in a variety of formats, in multiple positions, at home as well as abroad. During this time, I have performed every task required to successfully manage, brand and market both print and online publications, working through local advertising all the way to social media marketing. In my work as a freelancer, my main objective has been to help small businesses set a strong foundation for growth. Many of these projects include rebranding, creating identity packages, designing websites and merchandise, and marketing online. Additionally, due to my journalism background, I'm a skilled and highly competent writer and copy editor. My strongest skills include writing for a casual audience, clearly communicating creative ideas, and editing according to several specific style manuals, notably AP style and Chicago style.
