My name is Matthew Van Driel and I am an award winning Canadian composer with over 10 years of experience composing original works for film, television, media, ads, and live performance. I have scored films and other media from countries all around the world, as well as composed and arranged concert works with premieres in North America and Asia. I have also worked with international pop and metal artists from Portugal, Pakistan, and Canada. Most recently, I provided orchestrations and choral arrangements for Lindsay Schoolcraft’s Juno-nominated debut album ‘Martyr.’ I work in a multitude of different musical genres, and have knowledge of many different styles and eras. With a Bachelor Of Fine Arts in Music, I am well versed in music theory, harmony, transcription, arrangement and orchestration, ethnomusicology, as well as digital and electronic media and recording.
