I consider myself to be a focused, intelligent, loyal, honest and hard working person. I show consideration and respect for other people. I like to deal with potential problems proactively and work through them calmly if they occur. I am friendly and enjoy helping others. I believe in staying positive and up-tempo and my training as a professional musical theatre performer has given me the skills to complete tasks and solve problems creatively. I am constantly looking for ways to improve myself, and I have worked and will continue to work extremely hard to improve my skills. I have taught children of various ages, adults, adults with disabilities and foreign students. Music is a foreign language to anyone and so is playing instrument. Teaching these subjects takes an incredible amount of patience and perseverance. The differing skills and level of understanding from each student or group class has taught me to be flexible and always be prepared to go off script if necessary. Maintaining clear goals throughout my lessons has encouraged the students to focus on achieving skills successfully. It has also served to help me manage my time efficiently. I type at 70 words per minute with 97% accuracy and have previous experience in transcribing and administrative work including Microsoft office and its various programs.
