As a multi-instrumentalist, I have contributed keyboard, synth, bass, guitar and vocal performances in many styles and genres on numerous releases including Bryce Hackford (Safe Exits, Spring Theory), Tom Noble (Flashlight 12”, Rush Hour), Alice Cohen (Artificial Fairytales, NNA Tapes), Family in Mourning ft. Lydia Lunch (Eulogy, Galtta Media), Anthony Vine (Remnants, Galtta Media), and albums by Synthetic Love Dream, Private Elevators, Blue Jazz TV, Nick Stevens et al. I can perform from pre-existing scores or lead sheets, improvise from chord charts, or create original parts according to your needs.
Although I am active in many styles and genres, my background and focus is in classical and new music, and I sight-read well. Though not a concert pianist, I have played most of the reportoire in the classical canon, including the keyboard and piano works by Beethoven and Mozart (Sonatas, Concertos, Variations), Bach (English Suites, French Suites, Partitas, The Well-Tempered Clavier, The Musical Offering et al), Chopin (Waltzes, Ballades, Etudes, Preludes, Sonatas, Impromptus et al), Debussy (Estampes, Preludes, Images), Liszt (Sonata in B Minor, Consolations, Ballades, Deux Legendes, Annees de Pelerinage et al), Schubert (sonatas, Impromptus, Moments Musicaux), Schumann (Piano Concerto, Kinderszenen, Faschingsschwank Aus Wien), and many others.
Through hundreds of concerts, gigs and events over the past decade I have learned the importance of solidity, simplicity and precision in performances both on stage and in the studio — this combination of classical training with experience as a live and studio musician is of great help to me when I design a part for a piece or a song.
