In a response, published yesterday, Friday, to a tweet suggesting that Musk make a smartphone if Apple and Google remove the Twitter application from the application stores, Musk said: “I undoubtedly hope that does not happen, but, yes, if there is no other option, I will make alternate phone.

Musk didn't go into detail about the replacement smartphone plan, so the statement may be seen as consumer-friendly, but it's also nothing to ignore. Especially since Musk created The Boring Company because he once felt that waiting in traffic was boring, and a company should be created for underground tunnels where cars get rid of that traffic.

And because Musk is currently the richest person in the world, it is reasonable to imagine that he is able to create a smartphone company that competes with iPhones and Android devices. In addition to creating an operating system that makes it indispensable for iOS and Android.

Although it is not easy to delete an application such as Twitter, which is among the most popular social networking applications in the world, but companies, such as: Apple, require applications to adhere to policies that control everyone.

This includes rules that require communication applications to have a certain level of content supervision, and if they do not, they are destined to be deleted, which is what Apple has previously done.

In early 2021, Apple removed controversial social media app Parler from its App Store because the app failed to provide moderation guidelines, and also because it hosted objectionable content. Apple later allowed the app to return to the App Store because it had made the required changes.

And after Musk on Friday announced a "general pardon" for the banned accounts on Twitter, it is possible that controversial accounts' tweets that contravene app stores' policies could lead to the app's removal.
