NATO has declared that it will send 700 more soldiers to Kosovo.

700 more soldiers will be dispatched to the NATO Peace Force in Kosovo (KFOR), according to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

Jens Stoltenberg, the secretary general of NATO, announced that 700 more soldiers would be joining the NATO Peace Force in Kosovo (KFOR).

Stoltenberg denounced the attack and recalled that 30 soldiers were hurt in the attack on KFOR forces yesterday, where tensions have risen recently.

Such assaults must stop right away because they are unacceptable. KFOR and NATO forces will take all necessary steps to ensure a safe environment for all citizens in Kosovo. According to the UN mandate, we will continue to act impartially," Stoltenberg said.

Stoltenberg said that a battalion of soldiers has also been expanded, and if necessary, these men will be dispatched to Kosovo to reinforce KFOR. He then went on to explain that they have chosen to send 700 soldiers from the operational reserve forces established for the Western Balkans to Kosovo.

"Violent events are putting the region's and Kosovo's hopes for an Atlantic alliance in jeopardy. Pristina and Belgrade should take concrete steps to de-escalate tensions, avoid irresponsible behavior, and engage in EU-facilitated dialogue.  According to Stoltenberg, the only path to durable peace is this. said he.

Injuries to 30 KFOR personnel in Kosovo

Kosovo Serbs demonstrated against the election of Albanian mayors in the towns of Zveçan, Zubin Potok, and Leposavic, where Serbs are largely concentrated in the north of Kosovo, on May 26.

The Kosovo police, which had been dispatched to the area to guard the Albanian mayors, and the Kosovo Serbs got into a fight.

The Operational Rescue Forces in Italy had been launched, and NATO had also declared that further soldiers would be dispatched to KFOR.
