Comprehensive security audit where I was tasked with reviewing policy, procedures, and emergency mitigation/DR plans, from physical access to corporate facilities, all the way down to granular issues such as ASA policys/certs, AP configuration, and including pen-testing and patching potential internal and external attack surfaces. Responsible for delivering an in-depth presentation to executives to enable a phased transition into compliance with NIST & HIPAA standards, and to communicate the challenges and cultural issues that need to be addressed before fully transitioning from a hybrid cloud environment to a fully virtual infrastructure. Leading role on the "Technology Leadership Council", tasked with vetting new vendor products, developing use-case, proof of concept, and implementation plans. Planning and implementing a complete internal IT migration to AWS cloud. Researching, proposing, migrating, and maintaining company network monitoring systems. Tier IV escalation point for customer network issues involving MPLS, BGP, Network Security, VOIP, and the current SNMP/IP monitoring platform used by the NOC. Researching monitoring, security, network, and/or cloud product solutions to fulfill specific corporate IT or customer needs, from RFI / RFP to implementation. Formulating and executing training sessions for new systems and products, tailoring separate sessions to cater to both technical staff and sales/c-level executives.
