- News anchor suspended after appearing confused, incoherent on air
Heather Kovar, a news anchor in Albany, N.Y., was left without a job after she struggled on live television, looking disheveled and stumbling over her words, Liz Braun reported.
Two days after the rough broadcast, Kovar revealed in a statement that she was “sleep-deprived and exhausted” after returning from family leave following the death of her father.
But she actually notified her employers the day before her on-air disaster that she would not be renewing her contract with the station and hopes to move on with the next chapter of her life. Everybody wins.
