Nicola Sturgeon has pulled out of a planned public event in the wake of her husband’s arrest as part of an investigation into the Scottish National Party’s finances.
The former first minister had been due to appear at an event on climate change this evening as part of the Edinburgh Science Festival.
Màiri McAllan, the net zero secretary, will replace her at the event with Patricia Espinosa, the former chairwoman of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
