Kerry funeral arrest
An arrest has been made following a fatal assault at a funeral in Tralee, Co. Kerry. The A man in his 40s was pronounced dead on the grounds of Rathass Cemetery after an apparent stabbing. A man in his 30s has been arrested and is currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Tralee Garda Station.

Scrubs producer charged with 18 counts of sexual assault
Eric Weinberg — co-executive producer of the the US medical comedy series Scrubs — has been charged with 18 counts of sexual assault. The 62-year-old is said to have “relied on his Hollywood credentials” to lure young women to photo shoots where he allegedly assaulted them, with charges stemming from alleged incidents involving five women between 2014 and 2019.

Irish woman arrested in South Africa
A 42-year-old Irish woman has been arrested in South Africa as part of an investigation into the murders of two men in Ireland in 2014, whose bodies were reportedly discovered on Inchicup Island, Lough Sheelin wrapped in plastic sheeting and buried in a shallow grave. The woman was expected to appear before Bloemfontein Magistrates’ Court.

Kevin Spacey has his court date
Actor Kevin Spacey is set to appear in court to face sexual assault allegations made against him by actor Anthony Rapp. Spacey has “categorically denied” the accusations and says he “did not harbour any sexual interest or desire in Mr Rapp at the time or since” the incident, which allegedly occurred in 1986. Jury selection begins today.
