Since I graduated in Business Analytics and Business Mathematics/Informatics, I have worked as a Management Consultant at the corporate operations research department of a global enterprise for 8 years. My main occupancy there has been Revenue Management and Forecasting for first the passenger and later the cargo division. During the major overhaul of the passenger revenue management software, I have proposed and designed a forecasting method to combine unconstraining and sell-up which was accepted for development with only minor changes from my original idea. During my internship, I have designed and implemented a complete single-flight revenue management system that was able to do online accept-reject decisions and comprehensive forecasting and reporting for each individual flight. I have together with one coworker designed a decision support tool for network optimization of freighter aircraft which used Solver Foundation Services with COIN to solve the huge mathematical model involved.
