Hi I am Nick, I have an Industrial Engineer 5yr diploma from Technical University of Crete, Greece and a Master's Degree in Operations Research from the same institution. In details: 1) In the first category, I can do anything that involves data manipulation. From data entry to advanced statistics and data mining. These tools are very powerful in order to draw conclusions on operations in a business (ex. Sales, Marketing etc) and help the manager make the right decisions. In one phrase I would say that is the process that takes the raw data of the company and turn them into useful information. 2)In this field, we are all about problem solving. From the simplest to the most complicated. Any operation within a company can be mathematically modeled and solved with algorithms in a way that a human is not able to address. There are 4 major categories in that most problems fall into. Scheduling (airlines, trains, buses, trucks etc.), Assignment (assigning crew to flights, employees to projects, operations to machines etc), Facility location (deciding the most appropriate location for the new facilities such as a warehouse, factory or fire station etc) and Routing (finding the best route for a fleet of trucks etc). Optimizing those operations in your business can lower the cost significantly. 3) For programming projects, I can do any custom software that you might need for a specific application. I can take part in a bigger project and contribute in some part of the code or optimize part of it. I can also review code. For all 3 fields I do consulting and reviewing.
