Luke Ramsey ( born 1979 ) is one of the founding members of Islands Fold, an artist residency located on Pender Island, B.C, Canada. Luke has
collaborated with over100 different artists to date, exhibits
internationally and works as a freelance illustrator. His client list
includes Mountain Equipment CO-OP, The New York Times, WIRED, The Globe
and Mail, The Cartoon Network and more. Luke has taught children’s
drawing workshops in Haida Gwaii and was a guest speaker at The
Pictoplasma conference in Berlin, Germany, 2010. He completed a giant
collaborative outdoor mural with Josh Holinaty on the John Howard
Society building in Edmonton, Canada, 2010. The mural won an award of
excellence from The City of Edmonton in 2011, and a 2012 National Urban
Design Medal from the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. Luke’s
work is about finding harmony in organized chaos. He is currently
working on a sci-fi illustrated story.
