Having recently gone back to school and completed my CS degree, I'm now looking for some temp work in software engineering to see if a career change might work out. 8 years experience as a (mostly UNIX) sysadmin means I have strong skills in designing, building, integrating, troubleshooting and debugging server software, among other things. I work primarily with open source software on UNIX platforms. Chances are if you have code, you have bugs, and I can start fixing them on day one even if I haven't listed your implementation language as a skill. If you don't have code yet, great, I can help flesh out your requirements and write coherent design documents to avoid expensive backtracking later on.
