As a web application developer for a university project titled Digital Library Services Integration, I developed Java servlets that serviced clients' requests which included data retrieval from database, performing dictionary lookups and outputting data in the user's preferred format using CSS and XSLT. Some of the features of the servlets included recognizing and servicing requests by other servlets and generating XML-formatted documents using JDOM 8 for inter-module communication. I also wrote wrapper modules which encoded and decoded XML messages that were to be received by various modules. I have worked with Web Services, Spring, Hibernate and other Java-based server side technologies.
