We have automated a system whereby users searching for business broadband services find our website ( http://dsl.cst.net ) and enter location information. I wrote a back end system that queries ATT, New Edge, and Covad databases and determines loop length and service availability for the customer, providing the customer with a report form on which they can indicate a preferred service type and request sales contact. Later we modified this system to feed an XML results form to Megapath?s Oracle sales tracking system, automatically populating their system with our customer queries.
