Painting

$35/hr Starting at $400

Portrait painting is my passion with a tendency towards realism. I've been drawing and painting for over twenty years and mainly use oils. I had once created a 5' x 6' oil painting of Steven Spielberg and a 5' x 6' oil painting of Director John Houston, commissioned by the Directors Guild. Spielberg's portrait now resides at his office at Amblin Entertainment and Houston's portrait remains at the Directors Guild of America. I've painted stage backdrops for school plays and had the chance to touch-up the Flintstone's props used in the movie, that are now located at Universal Studios, Hollywood. I am now creating a 7' x 4' oil painting of the Los Angeles Laker's and Jerry Buss, to be presented to Jeanie Buss. I also Illustrate cartoon type images, using a combination of hand skills and computer manipulation. Some years back I created 83 illutrations for a T-shirt collection which sold for 3 1/2 years at Macy's, Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom's, selling in the young girls departments.

    Cindy is always a pleasure to do business with. We will get better at estimating our costs per cover in the future. ISBN's were typically 8 dollars per title. This assignment had more work than that to fit the Lightning Source template so it was worth more. This worked out to 15 dollars per title.
