Skilled writer looking to expand her portfolio with varying projects. Blog post and research are just two strong areas; however short stories have always been side projects of mine. I enjoy reading just as much as writing and believe a dedicated proofreader is necessary to edit any piece before it is set to print. Expanding writing skills is not an easy path to begin but is required for any person that desires their work to be seen. Student writing is another area I am current on; including APA, MLA, and Chicago. Another skill that I posses is quick data entry and can take dictation as well; however I would consider this a weak skill that I need to strengthen. The above covers a variety of my skills but does not give you an ideal of who I am. I am a mother of three and married to a construction worker. I have spent the past two years learning to be an urban farmer while putting my family on a healthier, self sustaining path. I read mystery/thrillers and consider myself an avid reader with taste that range from self help and memoirs to young adult and fantasy. I live in New Orleans although I am a transplant that has been immersed in the culture of this historic city. Enjoying the weekend often means sipping coffee and people watching as I create my own narrative of the lives; as well as taken in all the different festivals and events that occur in this lazy city. Being a travel writer has never been far from my bucket list but to be honest bringing the flavor of New Orleans to someone in Denver suits me just fine as well. I have written since I was in middle school and "THAT" one English teacher invested in me; encouraging me to strengthen my skills and above all to write with my heart. This is how I take on all of my projects whether they are blurbs, reviews, product reviews, food recipes, blogs, articles, research, or books with my heart to draw the reader in and leaving a piece satisfaction in their hands.
