I am founder and Director of IPLOEA (iploea.com), an IP-based start-up specializing in patent drafting, prosecution, searches and EoUs / claim charts. I have more than a decade of experience in the Intellectual Property service industry. I am a registered Indian patent agent (IN/PA-3537) and have a Graduation degree in Engineering in Electronics and Instrumentation.

I am a functional expert in patent drafting and prosecution, search and analytics. Specifically, in patent searches, I provide high-quality novelty, patentability, invalidity and freedom to operate searches. In prosecution, I prepare responses to Office Actions (OAs) and FERs. In addition, I have drafted a number of patent applications in my previous jobs, and have prepared EoU charts.

Previously, I was working with IP firms such as Evalueserve and Clairvolex. During my tenure, I worked directly with various IP attorneys of some of the Fortune 500 Companies in various domains such as electronics and telecommunication, electrical, mechanical, automotive, home appliances, semiconductors and business solutions. Particularly, I was involved in below-mentioned aspects of Intellectual Property:

Drafting responses to Office Actions (OA) and First Examination Report (FER):

•           US Communication - Non-final OA, Final OA, restriction requirements, advisory actions (with AFCP or RCE), and Qualye Action, where I have dealt with various types of rejections such as: 101, 102, 103, 112a, 112b, 112f, Objections.

 •           EP Communication - R161 EPC, R162 EPC, R70(2), R 70a(2), Art. 94(3) EPC, R. 112(1) EPC, R. 19(1) EPC, written submissions, and lack of unity, various where I have dealt with various types of rejections such as Novelty based rejection (Art. 54 EPC), Inventive Step based rejection (Art. 56 EPC), Clarity/Support objections (Art. 123(2) EPC, Art. 84 EPC), Formality objections (R 42(1)(b) EPC, R 42(1)(c) EPC, R 43 (7) EPC, R 43(1) EPC).

 •           IN Communication - First Examination Report (FER), written submissions, where I have dealt with various types of rejections such as Section 2(1)(j), Section 2(1)(ja), Section 2(1)(ac), Section 3, Section 10(5), Section 16, Various formality objections including submission of various forms.

Patent Searching:

Novelty / Patentability Searches (more than 200) – I have assisted corporates in screening innovations by providing novelty and patentability searches.

Invalidity / Opposition Searches – I have worked on more than 20 invalidity searches..

Currently, I have paid a subscription of Patseer database that I use in all my searches along with other databases.

Patent Drafting:

I have drafted more than 30 provisional and non-provisional patent applications for start-ups and IP attorneys in various domains such as electronics and telecommunication, mechanical, automotive, business methods etc.

Evidence of Usage (EoU) charts:

In my previous job, I have prepared more than 20 litigation-ready EoU charts and performed product search for 1000s of patents.
