I train and then coach managers to manage the performance of their staff to gain accountability and results. My methodology is to conduct training workshops or facilitate self directed learning. I then conduct a number of 45 minute fortnightly coaching tutorials, face to face or by phone. In the coaching sessions I engage participants in practacing the skills in realistic workplace scenarios e.g. giving feedback, Through the practice participants internalize the skills so that they become second nature. Just as you can't learn to play a musical instrument or excel at a sport, neither can you effectively apply performance management skills without practice. I also train and coach managers and staff in a wide range of people skills including dealing with change, negotiation and communication.
