PHP Frameworks

For custom PHP projects I prefer to use a framework such as Zend Framework, CodeIgniter, Kohana or Laravel. This provides a firm foundation on which to build the website. A framework allows the programmer to leverage the skills of others for the repetitive parts of a project and focus on those areas that a unique to the project at hand. Another programmer, taking over a project, will have a much easier time getting up to speed with the code.
