With my experience across many learning management systems (LMS), exam delivery and development platforms, and association management systems (AMS), I can lead the selection and implementation processes required for migrating a program from one platform to another, or implementing improvements to a current delivery process.
Platform selection
Selecting a platform is an important stage and begins with a complete set of requirements that will fit the current program’s needs. I work closely with clients to identify the list of platform requirements and prioritize these requirements from high to low, so that a rating system can be established when reviewing platforms available.
Once requirements are known and prioritized, I identify vendors and platforms that meet the critical criteria identified by the client using publicly available information and demos. A selected list of vendors is identified and presented to the client to determine which may be invited to a demo their product for the client.
I will schedule the demos for 3-5 selected vendors, and will facilitate the demo process and rating systems from internal staff after each demo. A collation of the team’s ratings helps the client to identify the top two vendors from which to select from.
Platform migration
Migrating to a new platform requires resources that a current internal team may not have available. I can manage the migration of content from one platform to another, and conduct quality and technical reviews to ensure the systems are working as intended.
Platform implementation
In situations where a new platform is being built to support a new certification program, I can support project plans to include both the build and implementation of the platform in conjunction with the program development stages required for new programs. When a whole program service offering is required, I can provide elearning designers or test developers to assist with the development of content and technical experts to assist with the platform build and implementation.
