I'm a native speaker of both Portuguese and English. I was born and raised in Brazil by my American father and Brazilian mother. My father only spoke English with us, so I learned both at the same time. After moving to the U.S. and learning the culture, I quickly learned how culture and language work together. Because I never translate between the languages when I speak/listen/read/write. I am able to interpret them indecently of each other. I believe this is a unique ability of those who grow up with two languages. Therefore, if you are looking for a translation that will sound fluid in English I'm your person.
