Thanks to my 10 years of experience in childrens fashion, I developed an illustration hand matching childrens imagination and fantasy. My use of appealing colour is on of the strong higlights in my work. I have been the responsible children department designer for the two largest stores in Holland, Vroom & Dreesmann and HEMA. Producing four collections a year, one of the most interesting experiences was the product control and communication with the far east. As an illustrator I´m drawn to the more educational topics. Thanks to my teaching degree I feel I can connect to the subjects in a profound way. I also feel that illustration is all about trying to bring some balance in the visual diet children are offered these days. My goal is to provide just enough to set off their own visual imagination.
