I am semi-trained in Microsoft Office (not completed the certifications but will shortly) as well as have a decent understanding of a few other programs but with details, I am certain I can design almost anything. I have done a lot of volunteer work in this field and have experience through programs due to assignments. I made the school yearbook completely on my own using an amateur program and I have designed flyers, banners, brochures, and slideshows for many other occasions. My photo editing skills are considered average. When it comes to client-producer issues, I believe communication is key and the client should get the product they asked for with as many specifications they desired.
