Project Jumpstart -- I will chart your process(es) for you, help you assemble and guide an analysis team...whatever you need...and I'll help you figure that out too. One-on-one coaching -- I will gladly work side by side with one or more of your people to bring them up to speed quickly with techniques that will enable them to begin preparing good detailed process maps and facilitating effective improvement projects right away. Data Collection and Process Mapping -- I collect data by observing your employees as they do their work, with minimal productivity loss. All data collected is shared and confirmed with the employee to eliminate concerns and ensure accuracy. Through direct observation, I ensure that the improvement team is working with facts. The processes are documented with Graham Process Flow Charts. I work rapidly, typically documenting 100 or more steps per day (most processes can be documented in a day or two). Completed charts are openly displayed so that everyone is fully aware of the work in progress. Process Improvement Project Facilitation -- After a process has been charted and validated, I can lead your team through analysis and improvement sessions. Improvement teams are made up of the people who do the work. Specialists (Vendors, programmers & others not directly involved with the process) are brought in as required. The improvement team may meet for about 2 hours, once or twice a week for three to six weeks to identify and test improvement ideas, or we can hammer it out in one or two longer sessions. New charts are drawn and the recommended changes are documented. During improvement meetings, I provide support to the team leader and do not make personal recommendations, recognizing that the people who do the work are the experts.
