Modeling application is Solidworks. Start from conceptual design; hand drawn, prototypes, molds or existing products. Output files would include pdf drawings, models of concept, costing of materials. Design Manufacturing engineer for Lummus Corporation involving designing jig assemblies, (3D Solidworks), for a robotic welder they just purchased. Also, in this position, I was the liaison engineer for cotton gin design engineers. My position had me working directly with their engineering department to improve designs for manufacturing. On the shop floor, I was the lead designer to invent new concepts, model the objective, test the loads by FEA, produce the drawings for manufacturing and assembly and then supplied sheet metal flat patterns for sheet metal laser cutting. I followed up with overseeing assembly and testing that would at time involve prototyping improving the designs working directly with shop Foreman's.
