To take an idea and make it happen. When I was hired onto the DeWalt Nailer Project, they did not even know how they wanted it to look. The housing of a pneumatic nailer is a pressure vessel and it's dimensions are critical to the power it transmits. To be a usable tool it had to be perfectly balanced for the user, while the housing is the mounting system for all the internal working components. I worked hand in had with 'Industrial Design' to realize their design intent while achieving a perfect index finger balance at the trigger. Working with 'Body in White', using CAD modeling to realize their design their clay model for the grilles and bezels.
