I have been offering contracted transcription services professionally for over a year. I transcribe over 200 audio hours per month and charge $0.90 per audio minute for files under 30 minutes, $0.85 per audio minute for files between 30 to 90 minutes, and $0.80 per audio minute for files over 90 minutes. All of my files are delivered with 99% accuracy with the exception of required [inaudible] and [crosstalk] tags as applicable. At my speed, this rate of pay averages out to around $10 hourly.
