My name is Lewis James and I am a professional freelance illustrator, mainly for children's books though have an adaptive style. Drawing is both my passion and obsession and I am grateful to be able to earn a living from doing what I love. My style is very distinct and I am very much inspired by fairy tales, comic books and fantasy art in general. All my work is traditional hand drawn art, you won’t get a perfect polished look but you can defiantly feel the raw emotion and love I put in to each of my drawings. I work using Copic markers and pencil crayons. My drawings are scanned in high resolution (300dpi) and then sent using a JPEG format. It’s important to me that I can create characters and drawings as close to the imagination of my clients as possible. Throughout the process of working with my clients I keep in constant contact providing updates to generate feedback so I can provide the illustrations you are looking for. I've had the chance to design book covers for several first time publishers and work on children's books, some of which are available on kindle. My most notable work at present is  with best- selling author Marc Clark, famous for his published books “The Princess Fables” and “The Royal Fables”. I've published two books with him so far and am currently working on another 11.
