I have learned WordPress inside and out and can create very high functioning themes that include many functions not available in the core code or in plugins. I am familiar with the template system, hooks and filters. I know PHP and can write custom functions and simple plugins as needed to accomplish the design goals for your website. I can add jQuery functionality for interactive site elements. I write in HTML5 with shims for older browsers and CSS3 with graceful degradation for older browsers.
