Lead architect for CMG (Portfolio Sample Link 2)and designed and developed the latest incarnation of their payroll system, which pays 60% of the people in the UK. The system is a distributed system with it's core running under MS SQL Server/VB.NET. The system includes: * a Web Component with implementations using SOAP and ASPx.NET (IIS)/PHP (Apache) * Office integration (Excel/Word/Outlook/Access) For VirginCars I was a consultant providing Troubleshooting and then QA (Portfolio Sample Link 3)on a system developed in ColdFusion/VB/MS SQL Server. I was brought in to troubleshoot their application a few days before the system was to go live and spent 3 days (20 hours a day) to fix bottlenecks and performance problems. The system would only support 3 concurrent users and had transaction times in excess of 90 seconds before I arrived. After analysis and on the spot fixes were applied the system supported >9000 concurrent users and transaction times were less than 0.25 seconds.
