I have nearly 20 years’ experience in developing and using software. Most often along the lines using VBA with a database back end either SQL Server or Oracle. Most of the companies that have employed me make a request for automating some of their functionality. From multiple Microsoft Excel and Access applications with at times with different versions of the data ran manually, which is time and resource consuming. Making their functionality automated or scheduled jobs which can be run on the servers overnight or when required as batch jobs.  Also, functionality or application that requires multiple users to maintain or input is now restricted to a few individuals. Other times I am involved in upgrading their system from a previous version to a more latter one. I have work extensively on Microsoft Excel using it as a display and reporting tool. Linking it to databases and views (queries). Enabling the users due to their access to database based on their roles. Also building various reports and forms, with complex validation rules and the ability to display the required data. The ability to write complex VBA code. SQL Server Database design, using various constraints to maintain data-integrity rules with delete cascade, Views and TSQL to maintain data. Some of the companies I work on my own and I am responsible for collecting requirements, building the application, unit and system testing, and finally releasing and deploying the application. Others have it I work as part of the scrum team and play my own role as a member of the effectively team. I have experience in working as part of a team and heading one. Having people reporting to me and explaining complex technical terms to non-technical staff/clients. I have no problems following instructions, documentation and adhering to standards. And if at any time, I would deviate from the standard accepted protocol I will bring it to the attention of my manager and we will access the risk of the deviation. During and at the end of the project, I contribute to documentation and I derive satisfaction in producing easy to follow and customer satisfying documentation. I have experience in research, sampling, data collection and displaying the data in various format. Experience with python and C#, but more in C++, VB6, VB.NET. Built websites and used web services and involved in building mobile apps. Trained as a Medical Doctor and have not regretted the change since as I have job satisfaction and have a daily drive to make things better.  I am looking for more stability in a job as my wife and children (three boys in secondary school) have reached the stage that they will require a constant mentor nearby.
