Currently project manager and developer of a laboratory information management system (LIMS) using an Oracle database, IBM WebSpere server and PERL as the scripting language for web applications. On this project I am also developing VBA applications in Excel for lab data entry. Recently co-developed a Visual basic application that analyzes golf scores. The VB application will optionally send data to a mySQL database at a remote location via HTTP. I developed the database on the web site and PHP scripts to exchange data with the VB application. I also wrote the VB interface to exchange data with the web-site. The data is sent as XML files compressed using zlib to allow faster transfer with users that have dial-up connections.
