I worked at Zynga in the Poker Studio as part of the BlackOps team. Responsible for data gathering (big data) system to monitor and make sense of player behavior to detect cheaters/hackers/ and other bad actors. I performed sys admin tasks as well as architecture and development tasks in this role. Worked on very exciting projects at absolutely huge scale. Learned a lot about large scale systems architecture and management.Before Zynga I worked in financial software development, doing all sorts of interesting things, from simply large database and point of sale systems, to intelligent data analyzers that also detected bad actors for the goal of staying compliant with financial regulations.
