Designed & built a safety and reliability testing software system for a networked
seven-computer manufacturing system. The stability of vendor firmware
was tested by passing an error-correcting Runge-Kutta 45 integration problem
in a bi-directional fashion in a loop around the seven machines. The system
succeeded in revealing subtle and critical problems in vendor firmware.
Designed & built pharmaceutical research data reporting system for linking pharmacologists
and medicinal chemists information flow. Included web-based wizards for users to
design their own reports and schedule reports via cron system. Written in C and
embedded Perl, using DBI/DBD-Oracle. Commercial implementation was on SGI IRIX,
but the system was also ported to FreeBSD & MySQL.
