Robert Hall started Sarasota Web & Technology Services in March 2005. Robert worked for Sarasota County Government for over 5 years and 2 versions of the Sarasota county web site (Scgov.net). Version 1 of this site was developed using HTML, ASP, SQL 7 and later SQL 2000. Version 2 was developed using ASP.Net (VB.Net) and SQL 2000. The version 2 database was predominately Robert's design and is currently implemented with relatively minor changes even 2 years after his departure. After growing weary of the daily political in-house battles he moved to the private sector where he found that some companies were more interested in what they could sell to a customer and not what the customer REALLY needed. After witnessing salesmen push unnecessary items (such as costly Flash intros on 2 - 3 page static brochure web sites) on naive customers, Robert knew he had to go his own way.
