System design from top to bottom is my specialty. I have lots of experience with custom hardware as well as designing and implementing large applications. Simplicity is the core of my development and philosophy. I strive to create systems composed of simple components that have simple interactions.  This approach allows me to create more robust designs faster, and still manage the inevitable scope creep that seems inherent in all projects. My understanding of low-level hardware coupled with my experience designing large software systems from the top down gives me a unique understanding of the entire system. Experience has shown me that unnecessary complexity is the greatest enemy of the software development process. I strive to keep my designs as simple as possible to accommodate change and make the system robust.
