Experience includes a mixture of web and desktop applications, IT work, system configuration, automated information retrieval over the web. I've worked for companies which build software for the insurance illustration market and retirement illustration market as well as for companies that develop commercial applications for the web. I have also done substantial IT work for a local non-profit (as a volunteer) and so have a very good knowledge of how systems/applications interact (or don't). I've done a fair amount of development in Microsoft Office using both VB and .Net framework interop. I am good at taking business needs and turning them into software systems, discovering what the business needs actually are, and interfacing with customers throughout the development cycle.
