I've worked in the casino industry for several years as a database developer and administrator. I've managed over 25 SQL Server systems at a time, and had the responsibility of successfully keeping all databases as close to 100% online at all times. I've worked with several large scale, financial data warehouses. I design databases and cubes with ease. I am a perfectionist, and I expect things to be built correctly, and that is also why I pride myself as a quality assurance analyst. When it comes to software and database design, there is never room for "just good enough". I only feel comfortable releasing code I've written if it is ironclad. I will never succumb to writing spaghetti code that breaks down the road, unlike many developers out there.
