Acquired a new product (ASP front end & SQL Server back end). Self studied SQL Server to migrate from an existing Oracle environment and build/maintain new SQL Server databases. Located valuable resources on the web to track down an issue with SQL Server and saved the company tens of thousands of dollars on support & existing customers not ending their contracts because of the issue. Migrated from a mainframe environment (COBOL & CICS) to an Oracle environment (Oracle 8.1 database, Oracle Forms & Reports) two months ahead of schedule. This included proper training of the development team, and testing the application in all 3 environments: development, QA & production.
