I have been designed and developing Web-based applications for the last 5 years. While working for UMASS Dartmouth, I developed web-based applications for the Foundation Coalition under National Science Foundation funding to be used as course support tools. My primary work was on the Learning Portal, an application that allows students to manage work online, provide and receive feedback from instructors and peers, and receive and complete assignments. The project used Java servlets and a MySQL backend. Also while working for UMASS Dartmouth, I developed a set of tools to enable the distribution and collection of survey results to support various academic departments. These surveys were developed in XML and transformed to HTML when displayed. A servlet collected and validated the results and the inserted the data in a MySQL database. The survey results were then collected and output in the appropriate format. Currently, I a working for a Defense Contractor working on a network

    Micheal gave us constant feedback during our projects operation, and kept us informed of an issues as they occured, issues we had not considered ourselves. Micheal always kept to deadlines, and showed great competency throughout. If we have tomcat projects come up in the future, Micheal will be the first we'll consider to help us.
