I am always looking for ways to make processes more efficient. In the past year, I have put in place several systems to reduce overhead by over $10,000/yr at my place of work by utilizing VBA automation in Excel. Some accomplishments (all using Excel VBA):- An overhaul of the supplier management system that increased accuracy and reliability of the reported pass/fail rates of 100+ suppliers, and a dashboard that allows the user to see at a glance the overall rating, capabilities, ISO certifications, and number of open orders with that supplier. Wrote/edited all the necessary documentation to successfully pass an external ISO 9001:2008 audit with no non-conformances or audit trails found.- Automated the process of filling out supplier scorecards every quarter, reducing the time required for the task from 4 days per quarter to ~30 min per quarter.- Created a system to report any Engineering Change Orders (ECO) immediately upon creation to manufacturing personnel on the shop floor. - Ove
