For 5 years, I worked at a hydrochloric acid regeneration facility. I started as an assistant to an operator and worked my way up to being the sole member of an "IT Department". This included managerial duties, Human Machine Interface design, data entry, data mining, data verification, and a project that made the entire facility able to be ran completely offsite through a secure PHP/MySQL/HMI integration. When I first started working at the facility, there was one computer for the whole of the operation team. When I left there were 6, all capable of monitoring, adjusting, logging and testing the PLC system for a $13,000,000 facility with slightly over 10 times the accuracy the original system was designed for, as well as rewrote the Programmed Logic Controller to perform additional tasks without human supervision.I have no formal training for any programming language, but I firmly believe this allows me to solve problems by thinking outside the box on many issues.
