I am an Oracle DBA by profession. I assist the application personnel with SQL tuning when necessary. I prefer programming more than anything else. I have used Developer 2000 extensively. I have programmed using basic, pascal, c and a little java. I've done a lot of shell scripting - including cgi. Most shell scripting was done using the Korn shell, however for cgi I usually prefer php. I consider myself an expert in SQL and PL/SQL. I spent 3 1/2 years managing 10 remote offices and the central office - each with NT workstations and an NT server, an HP-UX server that served as mail server (sendmail) and an Oracle server. During this period I created a pro*c application to manage the distributed transactions, a cold fusion application to print contracts and wrote several Developer 2000 forms and reports.
