20+ years leading IT, Operational and Six Sigma projects across multiple industries. Former Vice President of Portfolio and Project Services for a Fortune 500 company. Versed in Waterfall, Agile, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Design for Six Sigma, Business Process Re-Engineering, and judicially applying common sense. Experience managing projects with budgets from $1K to $20M. The key to successful project management is collaboration and flexibility. Regardless of methodology and budget, the most critical skill in a PM is the ability make the team members want to deliver their best work to meet the project objectives and the good judgment to know how to flex their PM skills to “right size” the solutions to any problem. It’s not enough to know the science of Project Management, to be truly successful you must understand the art of the discipline as well. I like solving problems, creating plans and schedules and pulling together teams to turn ideas into concrete deliverables. I’ll identify your critical success factors, work with your team to understand your risks and challenges, develop a plan to deliver in budget, develop contingency and risk mitigation plans, then work with your teams to execute with quality. Along the way I’ll look for opportunities to improve process, optimize financial performance or improve delivery timelines or project budgets.
