Appropriate technical and functional knowledge is important to any major undertaking for organizational improvement. However, an understanding of how to harness such knowledge and apply through an appropriate project or program implementation is equally important. My military career included nearly a decade of experience in major systems development, culminating with a position in the Office of the Secretary of Defense coordinating systems engineering policy across all of the Dept. of Defense. My subsequent 20+, years of management consulting built upon this experience. I am certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute. My most recent engagement has been to provide leadership as the project manager for a $1M+ implementation of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) software at an organization of 26,000 persons.
