I am a SFEP (Society for Editors and Proofreaders) trained proofreader, who can proofread hard-copy or electronic copy. I can use BSI (2005) symbols, notes and comments or track changes, to suit your preference. I also have good in-house experience of copywriting and editing copy for online marketing usage, business proposals and contracts, print articles and advertisements. I am used to writing to a client specification and using a house style. I am a current PhD student in Defence Studies at King’s College London, and hold a Masters in International Security Studies from Reading University. As such, I am experienced in analysing texts for layout, errors, tone, structure and flow. I can offer specialist knowledge in the fields of Defence and International Security, International Relations, Politics and Modern History for academic proofreading purposes. I also have over 12 years of administrative and web design experience, which brings an added dimension to the above-mentioned skills, including CMS, HTML and social media familiarity, working to a brief and being pro-active. I am available for regular and ad-hoc projects, as required.
