I am a recent graduate of Emerson College, where I obtained my BFA in Writing, Literature, and Publishing with a focus in fiction writing. I am currently working toward my Master in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University. My work has been published in the online magazines East Coast Ink and The Merrimack Review, and one piece is a finalist in the Defenestrationism short story contest. I spent the past year working as a proofreader for Mitre Media, a financial media website, and for a short time worked as a copy editor for the romance novel company Torrid Publishing. I now work as a book reviewer for Indie Reader, a website that reviews and promotes self-published books, and have been a reviewer for Graphic Novel Reporter since October of 2014. I am a meticulous line editor bent on finding the most powerful words, and my experience both writing and reviewing has made me able to articulate and correct issues in longer works. I am an expert in APA Style, the Chicago Manual of Style, and MLA Style. My writing style can change from academic to conversational, and my edits retain the author's original voice.
