For the past eighteen years, I have been a proofreader for Globe Direct, a direct mail marketing company that’s owned by The Boston Globe. I just had my job eliminated as a result of the economic crisis created by the current pandemic. Also, I have covered the music industry in a freelance capacity for more than twenty years. The majority of my writing has been for Music Connection, the famed industry insider / advice publication that’s been informing music people since 1977. The magazine haunts the corridors of some of the world’s most famous recording studios and remains the tip of the spear for many of the industry’s hottest trends and performers, giving artists like Madonna, Adele and Guns ‘N Roses their first ever cover stories. Articles I’ve written for the publication include cover stories, album reviews, live concert reviews and other assorted profiles. I used to write their regular Producer Crosstalk column and currently scribe the Executive Profile included in every issue. I have also penned articles for a host of other publications, both print and web-based, including Music.com, Riffage.com, High Times and RHYTHM.
